Do You See What I See On Top of the Christmas Tree?

Good morning!

The Christmas tree isn’t complete without some form of topper. Over the years we’ve had different ones, mostly based on tradition as much as anything. This year we’ve got a Father Christmas tree-topper (but hubby amusingly calls it a wizard).

Other years we’ve had a fairy, a star, and a bow.

What are you choosing to top the tree with this year?

Perhaps as a symbol of the star of Bethlehem that led the wise men, or representing the Star of David.

Representing the Angel Gabriel who appeared to Mary. This became particularly popular in the Victorian period.

Something Else

Perhaps something Pagan, representing the Sun or a bow.

Perhaps, like my mum, you continue to use the fairy that your daughter made in play school, or maybe you have a family heirloom that makes it to the top each year.

I’d love to hear any special stories about your tree. Comment below or join in on Twitter or Facebook.

Best wishes,
